Floral Painted and Carving Gourd Birdhouse
72300I am a natural gourd BIRDHOUSE, the perfect house for our feathered friends who built a nest (see the second picture). I was handmade by Peruvian artisans using techniques carried down from generation to generation. Ā I am painted, dyed, carved out floral, relieved & varnished to resist weather conditions. After a few seasons for our feathered friends, I will decompose naturally and return to Mother Earth.
Every birdhouse gourd is one of a kind depends of its shape, size and handmade design.
Size:Ā approx. 7.5ā³ height x 5ā³ width
Materials:Ā Birdhouses are made from natural bottle gourds, chaquira and wooden stick for bird to hold
Production:Ā A dozen of birdhouse takes 1 week to complete, without considering growing, picking and sun drying process. Gourds are grown and dried in Northern Peru and crafted in home workshops in Lima, Peru.
