I’m a big fan of New Years. Just like all the sappy movies, I watch the ball drop and say good bye to all my regrets over the past year and look forward to the person I want to become this next year. Deep down I know it’s just another day, not much different from any other. But each year, I let myself get swept up in the excitement of starting things anew, quitting bad habits, and planning for the coming year.
As we talk about Blossom Inspirations, we’re very optimistic for the future. 2011 was a good year. We entered a major department store, grew our sales in the US & Mexico and appeared in several magazines and TV reports. It’s always nice to look back and see that our hard work paid off. Granted, we made our fair share of mistakes and experienced some missed opportunities. But all in all, we were happy with our efforts and especially those of our artisans.
Now, looking ahead to 2012, we are excited to expand to even more stores. We’re working on some great new belt & jewelry designs and new characters for our gourd ornaments. We’re investigating several different carbon credits and where to invest with CarbonFund.org. Lastly, we hope to get Fair Trade certified, having instituted several of their processes to further help our artisans. We see over these past 2 years that our business and its unique concept is catching on fast and with a little luck this year we’ll be striving to greater heights. We thank all of you who have supported us in the past and of course hold you dear as we jump into 2012!
