The modern world has many of us twisted and tangled up in intricacies. Technology that is suppose to simplify our lives often is the root of its complication. We are under the cultural pressure to be constantly connected via email or cellphone. As we work directly with artisan communities, it is clear from the start that the lives they lead are something else entirely. Though often with very little possessions, they display a peace of mind that we can all learn from. Like all of us, they value family & friends, health, and the hope of bettering their situation for their children. That is a valuable lesson that we sometimes forget.
